Disney is making big changes at Magic Kingdom.
A new aerial photo shows land being cleared behind the Haunted Mansion. Heavy machines can be seen moving dirt and sand near the attraction’s crypt-themed queue.
This work is not just routine maintenance. The area being cleared matches land set aside for future park expansion.
Disney has shared plans for new lands in this part of the park, including Piston Peak National Park from Cars and a possible Villains land. While nothing has been officially announced yet, this kind of construction usually means something new is coming.
