If you peek at your My Disney Experience app lately, you’ll spot something different: the Animation Courtyard feels a lot lighter now. That’s because Star Wars Launch Bay and the Disney Jr. Theater are gone—poof! They’ve vanished from the digital map.

🚧 What’s changing?
- Animation Courtyard now takes up less real estate on the app map.
- Star Wars Launch Bay and Disney Jr. Theater have been removed from the map entirely (and yep—they’re permanently closed in real life too).
- But The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure still holds its spot.
- The old Magic of Disney Animation is staging a comeback, stepping into the spot Star Wars left behind. Expect interactive fun, character meet-ups, drawing stations, and a whimsical playground that nods to “Alice in Wonderland.”
- The Disney Jr. area won’t disappear forever—it’s getting a total refresh and will host a new show soon.

🎨 Why did they do this?
- Fresh story, fresh visuals: Disney’s shifting the park’s narrative toward a “studio lot” theme—think places where animators draw, dream, and play.
- Streamlining the guest experience: By removing closed attractions from the map, the app stays up to date so guests aren’t chasing ghosts.
- New adventures incoming: The change makes way for more dynamic, immersive experiences in the future.
