Land at Disney World and Go Straight to the Parks. This Bag Rule Changes Everything

Land at Disney World and Go Straight to the Parks. This Bag Rule Changes Everything

You just landed in Orlando.
Your park ticket is ready.
And all you want to do is ride something NOW.

But then comes the big question.
Do you really have to stop at your hotel first to drop off your bags?

Surprise. You don’t always have to.

There is a Disney World bag rule most guests do not know about, and it can save you hours on your first park day.

Yes, You Can Bring Luggage Into Disney Parks

Disney World allows guests to bring suitcases and bags into the parks.

When you arrive with luggage, security will pull you aside for an extra check. Your bags will be searched by security or sniffed by a trained security dog. This keeps the process fast and safe.

Once your bags are cleared, you are free to enter the park and start having fun.

Where Do You Put Your Bags?

Disney has lockers inside the parks for smaller bags.

Small lockers cost $10 per day.
Large lockers cost $12 per day.
Jumbo lockers cost $15 per day.

Jumbo lockers can fit carry-on size luggage and are only available at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT.

Large lockers usually fit three to four backpacks if you stack them well.

What If Your Suitcase Is Really Big?

If your luggage is too big for a locker, there is another option.

Some ECV and stroller rental locations will hold large items for guests. This costs $10 per item, no matter the size. Your bag gets a yellow tag so you can pick it up later.

This works best for full-size suitcases.

A Smart Way to Save Money

If you have more than one bag, here is a simple trick.

Store large suitcases at the ECV or stroller rental for $10 each.
Put backpacks together in one jumbo locker for $15.

This keeps costs lower than renting several lockers.

Should You Do This?

Your Disney hotel will hold luggage for free, so that is still the cheapest option.

But if you have an early flight, want to rope drop, or do not want to wait for your room, this bag rule lets you start your vacation right away.

Less waiting.
More rides.
More Disney magic on day one.
