Disney has just filed a new permit (September 8, 2025) for Project C, signaling major changes ahead at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The plans show a complete reconfiguration of the resort’s entrance and parking areas, designed to improve traffic flow and enhance the guest arrival experience.
đźš— A New Arrival Experience
As part of the upcoming World Drive Phase 3 improvements, the Grand Floridian’s main entrance will be redesigned to align with two new roundabouts. This means smoother traffic patterns and easier access for both guests and Disney Transportation vehicles.

đź’’ Wedding Pavilion Access
Disney’s permit also shows a new driveway for the iconic Wedding Pavilion, shifted slightly south to match the updated road system. Guests heading to weddings and events should have a much simpler arrival process once the project is complete.

🅿️ Expanded Parking for Guests & Cast Members
A brand-new back-of-house parking lot is planned to support the resort’s operations. This will help ease congestion in the main guest areas and make parking more convenient for both visitors and cast members.

✨ What It Means for Guests
While no official construction timeline has been announced yet, the filing indicates that work could begin soon. Guests visiting the Grand Floridian in the coming months may see construction activity near the entrance, but the end result promises a more seamless and beautiful arrival experience at one of Disney World’s most beloved resorts.
